Trevor Clark is a certified Business Coach with an impressive global business background.
A native of Durban, his family moved to Johannesburg and then to Switzerland, where he completed his schooling. Upon his return to South Africa, he earned both IMM and MBM diplomas in marketing and business management respectively through Damelin Business School, beginning working life in 1993 as a commercial accounts analyst for ABSA bank. Electing to specialise in marketing and sales, he gained extensive sales experience in the engineering sector prior to accepting a marketing position with Babcock. In addition to Trevor’s primary role, he created a national Used Equipment initiative and successfully led the Aftersales division’s Parts unit.
In January 2001, Trevor took on a General Manager’s post in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – an opportunity that allowed him to develop his skills and again experience new places and cultures first hand. Trevor was later headhunted by Origin Communications Group, a respected international corporate design and brand consultancy. As part of Origin’s expansion strategy, he opened an office in Dubai and successfully grew the branch to such an extent that it became the company’s head office, with Trevor as co-owner and Managing Director.
Although successful in the international arena, Trevor had long wished to return to South Africa – a dream he realised in 2009 after studying to become a business coach and being awarded ActionCOACH certification. He not only recognised the tremendous benefit of hiring a business coach, but also saw great potential to personally help other business owners in the key areas of time, team and money.
Action South Africa’s Rookie Coach of the year 2010 and part of the world’s number one business coaching firm, Trevor teaches ActionCOACH’s proven systems and strategies for business growth, and enjoys seeing the beneficial results of these in each client’s business and personal life. In addition to bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to every client relationship, Trevor has a genuine passion for business and shares a real empathy with his clients.
An avid sports enthusiast, Trevor enjoys kitesurfing, scuba diving, gym, golf and hiking. He is married to Victoria, and they are proud parents to four-year-old daughter Thalia Grace and two-year-old son Riley.
